Parents and families of Rutgers New Brunswick students are invited to share in Rutgers traditions during Parents and Family Weekend held October 7-9, 2022.

  • Some events require advanced ticket purchase or reservation. Space is limited for these events and many fill up/sell out VERY quickly.
  • There are select virtual events to accommodate families who cannot join us in-person.
  • Check this page often for the schedule of events, updates, and additions starting September 6.
  • You will have to register your vehicle EACH DAY if you are parking on campus. More information regarding registering your vehicle can be found under “Parking and Hotels” below.

The Unger-DeBlasio Cup is a golf outing hosted by the Rutgers Women’s Golf program. The event is a morning round of golf and afternoon luncheon celebrating 45 years of Rutgers Women’s Golf. REGISTER HERE

Geology Museum

Visit the historic Rutgers Geology Museum, celebrating its 150th anniversary this year! During Parent & Family Weekend, the Museum will have arts & crafts and educational activities set up for visitors to enjoy. Rutgers Football vs Nebraska Game

Rutgers football’s matchup against Nebraska will be the “Blackout Game,” presented by RWJBarnabas Health. The Scarlet Knights are set to suit up in all-black uniforms with black helmets and fans are also encouraged to wear black. Students in attendance will receive the t-shirt for free. Sandra Petway, the first black female coach at Rutgers University, started the Track & Field program in the early 1970’s. Sandee, to her friends, was hit head on in July, 2021, and broke her neck at C5/6, leaving her paralyzed from the neck down. She has limited mobility in her upper body and is presently in a motorized chair. The outing profits are intended to supplement the daily living expenses for her continued care. Event held in conjunction with Rutgers’ 50th anniversary of the Title IX celebration of its female letterwinners. REGISTER HERE.

The NJAES Animal Care Program and the Department of Animal Sciences welcomes visitors to join us on a guided tour of the Rutgers farm. Visitors will have an opportunity to see and engage with sheep, goats, pigs, horses, cattle and chickens on the Rutgers Farm. There will be opportunities for visitors to ask questions about the different species and how they are cared for. Visitors can park in the open parking lot across from the Round House. Please do not park in front of any barn doors or on the grass. REGISTRATION FULL
