Welcome to R Family!
When your student begins their journey at Rutgers University, the entire family experiences the excitement, transition and change. We are here to support family members as well as our new students.
New families are invited to campus to attend New Parent Orientation annually in June, July, and August. This program provides the opportunity to learn more about the university experience and resources available to your new student. In-person sessions are from 9am - 4:30pm on campus at Rutgers New Brunswick.
Note: New Parent and Family Orientation is separate from New Student Orientation. You do not have to attend the same day as your student’s orientation as these are separate programs. For questions about New Student Orientation, your student should email orientation@echo.rutgers.edu.
