New Parent and Family Orientation
When your student begins their journey at Rutgers University, the entire family experiences the excitement, transition and change. New families are invited to campus to attend New Parent and Family Orientation annually in June, July, and August. This program provides the opportunity to learn more about the university experience and resources available to your new student.

Allows your student to give parents, guardians, and tgird parties access to view content and services related to their experience at Rutgers, such as class schedule, financial aid awards, and term bill. Access to this information will not be granted without your students permission due to the protection of student rights under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

Rutgers Off-Campus Living & Community Initiatives helps students prepare for a more independent living experience off-campus by providing resources, education and advocacy while they navigate life off-campus. This includes informed housing search, and educational workshops focused on legal issues, safety, security and respect.
